Lentil cheese croquettes

If you want to make something healthy, a snak low calorie and gluten-free, the cheese croquettes of lentils is the best choice.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup VOION red lentils
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1 cup corn flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 150 gr. Vegetable (or cow's) cheese
  • Salt,pepper
  • 50 gr. sesame seeds for garnish

Execution method

  • Soak the lentils for 2-3 hours or from the night before. We rinse them, drain them, add 1/4 cup. water, smoked paprika, salt and pepper and mix all the ingredients together
  • Pour them into a larger bowl and add the cornmeal, starch and knead it. Add additional flour if needed.
  • Then shape the dough into small balls, put a piece of cheese in each, shape again so that the cheese is covered in the center and garnish with sesame.
  • Bake in the oven at 170 °C for 15-20 minutes or in the air fryer.
