Chips from lentils full of protein
Crispy and aromatic lentil chips, gluten-free, full of protein and vegan, what more could you want? They are delicious, easy to make and of course amenable to infinite flavor experimentation depending on the flavorings you will use. Without much fat, they are made in the oven, easy and clean. Very nutritious and filling, combine them with one or several dips and you will be delighted.
Ingredients
- 180 gr. VOION red lentils (1 cup)
- 130 ml water at room temperature
- ½ kg of salt
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 kg of oregano
Execution Method
- We put the lentils in a bowl and fill with water to cover them by 2-3 cm. We let them soak for 3 hours.
- We drain them and put them in the blender along with 130 ml of water, salt, oregano, olive oil and grind them all together well until they become a cream.
- We pour the mixture onto greaseproof paper in the pan (30×40 cm), and spread it as thinly as possible to the same thickness.
- We bake it in a preheated oven, at 200°C, in the air for 15 minutes (it should be cooked but soft).
- Remove from the oven, cut horizontally, vertically and diagonally creating triangular pieces.
- We transfer them one by one to the grill (without covering each other) and put them in the oven for a second time reducing to 180°C, in the air for 20 minutes, until they become crispy.
