(The boiling time depends on the type of peas you have chosen.)<\/li>\n\n<li>Remove the pot from the heat and discard the bay leaves.<\/li>\n\n<li>Transfer the yellow split peas to a chopper blender, while they are still hot, and add the olive oil, lemon juice, fleur de sel, and pepper.<\/li>\n\n<li>Beat them at high speed until the yellow split peas are completely dissolved and you have a thick puree, and set it aside.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>For the caramelized onions\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cut the onions into julienne (thin strips) and transfer them to a frying pan.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n<li>Add the salt, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n<li>Place the frying pan over medium heat and cook the onions for 15-20 minutes until they are caramelized, while stirring regularly.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n<li>Remove the pan from the heat, transfer the onions to a bowl, and set them aside.
