{"id":8485,"date":"2025-03-05T11:58:44","date_gmt":"2025-03-05T08:58:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/voion.gr\/?p=8485"},"modified":"2025-03-05T11:59:32","modified_gmt":"2025-03-05T08:59:32","slug":"%cf%86%ce%b1%ce%ba%ce%b5%cf%83","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/voion.gr\/en\/%cf%86%ce%b1%ce%ba%ce%b5%cf%83\/","title":{"rendered":"Lentil soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p><p>250 gr <a href=\"https:\/\/voion.gr\/en\/small-lentils\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/voion.gr\/small-lentils\/\">Voion lentils<\/a><br>2 tbsp olive oil<br>1\u00a0onion,\u00a0medium<br>2 carrots<br>2\u00a0stick(s)\u00a0celery<br>2 cloves garlic<br>2 laurel leaves<br>1 tbsp cumin<br>1\u00a0pinch\u00a0chili flakes<br>400g tomato concache<br>1 cube of vegetables<br>1 1\/2 lt water<br>1 tbsp salt<\/p><p><strong>For serving<\/strong><\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>slices\u00a0bread<\/li>\n\n<li>2\u00a0tablespoon(s)\u00a0olive oil<\/li>\n\n<li>5\u00a0sprig(s)\u00a0thyme<\/li>\n\n<li>salt<\/li>\n\n<li>pepper<\/li>\n\n<li>1\u00a0tablespoon(s)\u00a0vinegar<\/li>\n\n<li>salt-cured anchovies<\/li>\n\n<li>olives<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>INSTRUCTIONS<\/strong><\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Rinse the lentils and drain.<\/li>\n\n<li>Place a large pot over medium heat.<\/li>\n\n<li>Coarsely chop the onion and add them to the pot along with the<br>olive oil.<\/li>\n\n<li>Cut the carrots and celery into small slices, add them to the<br>pot and saut\u00e9 for 3-5 minutes until softened.<\/li>\n\n<li>Cut the garlic into thin slices, add it to the pot<br>along with the bay leaves, cumin and allspice, and<br>mix well.<\/li>\n\n<li>Add the lentils, the crushed tomatoes, the cube and the water, and<br>mix.<\/li>\n\n<li>Close the lid and simmer for 40-45 minutes on medium to<br>low heat.<\/li>\n\n<li>5 minutes before removing from the heat, sprinkle with salt and<br>pepper.<\/li>\n\n<li>Remove the pot from the heat.<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>To serve:<\/strong><\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cut 4 slices of bread from the country loaf.<\/li>\n\n<li>Place a grill pan over high heat.<\/li>\n\n<li>Add the slices of bread, olive oil, salt, pepper, and thyme.
