{"id":8414,"date":"2024-10-17T11:45:35","date_gmt":"2024-10-17T08:45:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/voion.gr\/?p=8414"},"modified":"2024-10-17T11:45:36","modified_gmt":"2024-10-17T08:45:36","slug":"traditional-giant-beans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/voion.gr\/en\/traditional-giant-beans\/","title":{"rendered":"Traditional giant beans browned in the oven"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Delicious, traditional giants beans browned in the oven, full of aroma, from chef Giorgos Tsoulis!<\/p><p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>500g giant beans<a href=\"https:\/\/voion.gr\/en\/giant-beans\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"7123\"> Voion<\/a><\/li>\n\n<li>1 large onion, cut into thin vertical slices<\/li>\n\n<li>2 cloves garlic, finely chopped<\/li>\n\n<li>800 g crushed tomatoes<\/li>\n\n<li>2 Florina peppers, cut into thin vertical slices<\/li>\n\n<li>1 stick of celery, chopped<\/li>\n\n<li>2 carrots, cut into thin vertical slices<\/li>\n\n<li>\u00bd bunch of dill, chopped<\/li>\n\n<li>200 ml olive oil<\/li>\n\n<li>salt<\/li>\n\n<li>pepper<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Execution Method<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Preheat the oven to 180\u00b0C fan-forced.<\/li>\n\n<li>Soak the giant beans the night before in a large bowl with plenty of cold water.<\/li>\n\n<li>Drain the giant beans and pour them into a deep saucepan, fill it with water and simmer for 40-50 minutes until soft, skimming the foam at regular intervals.<\/li>\n\n<li>Strain and reserve 200 ml of the boiling water.<\/li>\n\n<li>In a small frying pan, pour half the olive oil and heat over medium heat.
